“Indigenous” blogs

Back in March I wrote about Kevin Scannell’s website called Indigenous Tweets that tracks use of minority and indigenous languages on Twitter. Scannell has now extended his coverage to blogs that post in what he calls “indigenous and minority languages”, that is, what some people might consider “small” languages. His site tracks blogs hosted at Blogspot, which he says covers more than 90% of the blogs written in the languages he’s interested in, but he intends to add WordPress, Tumblr, MovableType, etc. in the future.

So if you want to read blogs in Maori, Oromo or other languages this is the place to start looking.
