We were sent a set of Elan files to add to the PARADISEC collection. It is hard to know what is in each Elan file in a large set without opening them to view the contents. We made the Elan file viewer to deal with this issue. You can select a folder of .eaf files and it presents a summary of the contents files to you, as you can see in the image, detailing the number of tiers, how much of the file is covered by annotations, the number of annotations, and how many of them have content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tool is written by Marco La Rosa as part of my CoEDL<\/a> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is open source, the code is here<\/a> and collaboration and development by others is encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
