The<br \/>\nKalasha language and tradition have been chosen as a case study<br \/>\nregarding both its possible linguistic and cultural links to Ancient<br \/>\nGreece. Moreover, practical suggestions concerning language<br \/>\ndocumentation processes (e.g. fieldwork projects) and language<br \/>\nrevitalization methods (e.g. Dictionary\/Grammar formats, textbooks,<br \/>\netc.) will be most welcome.<br \/>\nThe Conference will have two sections, (a) the Linguistics and (b) the<br \/>\nculture and tradition section of endangered languages, with the main<br \/>\nfocus on the Kalasha as a case study. Therefore the audience will be<br \/>\nacademics from both the linguistics and the Anthropology and Culture<br \/>\nDepartments.<br \/>\nINVITED SPEAKERS<br \/>\nPeter Austin (UK)<br \/>\nElena Bashir (USA)<br \/>\nAugusto Cacopardo (Italy)<br \/>\nJan Heegard Petersen (Denmark)<br \/>\nABSTRACTS<br \/>\nPlease send an abstract in Word\/PDF format (up to 200 words, plus<br \/>\nbibliography), for a 30-minute paper (20-minute presentation followed by<br \/>\na 10-minute discussion) with your contact details, via e-mail, by 31 May<br \/>\n2008 to nick_athanas8@hotmail.com and ema@enl.auth.gr<br \/>\nWe encourage postgraduate candidates and students who have recently<br \/>\ncompleted a Master&#8217;s or Doctorate, as well as established academics to<br \/>\npresent papers.
