There are some interesting posts on linguistics, literacy  &#8211; including mother tongue language education. So much seems so familiar. Thanks to this blog  I&#8217;ve learned about  <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.unesco.org\/en\/ev.php-URL_ID=34960&#038;URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&#038;URL_SECTION=201.html\">Litcam, Google, and UNESCO&#8217;s Institute for Lifelong Learning Launch &#8216;The Literacy Project&#8217;<\/a> and of practical handbooks which looks it might be useful in our region: <a href=\"http:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/images\/0014\/001446\/144656e.pdf\">Handbook for Literacy and Non-formal Education Facilitators in Africa<\/a>, and its predecessor, designed for use in Asia, <a href=\"http:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/images\/0012\/001233\/123374eb.pdf\">Handbook for Non-formal Education Facilitators<\/a>.<br \/>\nOther blogs I&#8217;ve come across recently:<br \/>\n&#8226; Will Owen&#8217;s blog <a href=\"http:\/\/homepage.mac.com\/will_owen\/iblog\/\">Aboriginal art and culture: an American eye<\/a> &#8211; has extensive and thoughtful reviews of art shows, books and films related to Australian Indigenous ethnography.  (<em>thanks David!<\/em>)<br \/>\n&#8226;  the <a href=\"http:\/\/anthro-ling.blogspot.com\/\">blog<\/a> of a graduate student, David Kaufman, who includes glossed texts of different Northern and Central American languages in the blog, as well as discussions of the language.<br \/>\n&#8226;  The <a href=\"http:\/\/lexiquepro.wordpress.com\/\">Lexique pro blog<\/a> has been created for information sharing on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.squidoo.com\/LexiquePro\/\">Lexique Pro<\/a> which has the potential to be a useful tool for  dictionary-makers and publishers. (<em>Thanks to a posting by <a href=\"http:\/\/nyungwe.blogspot.com\/\">David Ker<\/a> of the Nyungwe Project &#8211; Mozambique on the Lexicography list<\/em>)<br \/>\n&#8226; <a href=\"http:\/\/samiagoudie.blogspot.com\/\">Fulbright journey to Turtle Island ( USA)<\/a>  is the travel-blog of Samia Goudie, an Australian Bundjalung \/ Mununjali woman visiting the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship to  find out about &#8220;inter-generational trauma, healing and resilience in Indigenous communities&#8221;.
